I’m Sgt. Marvin Martinez—a soldier, survivor, and advocate for turning pain into purpose. For over 15 years, I served in the U.S. Army, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan from my home base at Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood). The battlefield taught me about sacrifice, but the journey home taught me about resilience. Now, as I approach my birthday (September 17), I’m committed to a new mission: proving that even brokenness can be rebuilt into something meaningful.
